Easy Collard Greens



Ingredients

• 12 large collard leaves
• 4 pieces of bacon cut into bite size pieces
• 1/2 onion diced
• 2-3 garlic cloves minced
• 3 cups of broth or enough to cover the greens
• A little less than 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
• 1 T honey or coconut palm sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• Pepper to taste


Directions

Chop collard greens. With stems or without.

Add bacon to pot. Cook until crisp. Add onion and sauté until tender. Add minced garlic, sauté. Add chicken broth.

Bring to a boil. Add collards. Make sure they are covered with a smidge of liquid. Add salt and pepper.

Turn down to simmer. Cook 2 hours or until to desired tenderness.
